A beautifully heartfelt story that is swoony and romantic, with strong family themes and lots of feels. I laughed, I swooned, I fell in love, and I loved every moment! I love a good second chance romance and I love the sweetness of a man discovering and falling in love, not only with the heroine, but with his son. Charlotte, Drake and Jameson completely stole my heart, I was instantly hooked to the story. I loved it so much and was so invested in the story from start to finish. I had those pages flipping at super speed. It was super sweet, romantic, emotional and it melted my heart. The feels were intense and I loved every second of this book.
I always forget how much I love secret baby romance tropes until I find myself in the middle of a secret baby book. It was impossible not to fall totally head-over-heels in love with Charlotte. She might be my very favourite thing about this book….adorable, fun and hilariously awkward. But I also loved how strong and dedicated she was. She’s #momgoals and I was charmed by the relationship she had with her son, and the life she’d built for them against all odds. Drake was a solid hero – though sometimes a little hard headed and short sighted. It warmed my heart to see how quickly his heart warmed toward Charlotte and Drake. The romance that forms between them was one full of emotion and sweetness. There is some powerful chemistry between these two and the sparks between these two are pretty powerful. My heart went happily along for the ride!
I was completely captivated and drawn into this story from the first word. The Valentine Inn was a beautifully written and heart-warming story of the perfect second chance. I loved the characters and everything they brought to this unforgettable story, especially little Jameson, he was utterly adorable. This was much more than a simple surprise baby story. It was about finding love and overcoming whatever obstacles were in the way in order to keep it. There was definitely some heartache to be endured before getting to the happily ever after, but even so, this was a passionate love story that left me swooning in my seat.

I finished The Valentine Inn so quickly- I literally just ate this book up. I would’ve finished sooner but one of my kids had a rough night and kept me up, lol.
Charlotte Valentine is secretly in love with her famous boss, and one fateful evening one thing leads to another and things happen (all closed door scenes). Drake quickly breaks things off afterwards, only to show up in Charlotte’s life years later, quite unexpectedly.
The Valentine Inn itself was a special part of the story. I loved George and the special magic the inn held for those who stayed there. The way sparks flew around Charlotte and Drake as they stayed at the inn, and how it kept bringing them back together was tender and sweet.
I laughed my head off at some of Charlotte’s thoughts and mental metaphors. She is hilarious and kept me giggling throughout the story, especially with Jameson involved. The elements of love, forgiveness, hope and redemption were powerful and gave such depth to the story. And what a hunk Drake is! I loved how real he is too- he’s no perfect Prince Charming, but gosh you just love him and the way he grows and loves Charlotte.
Jennifer Peel has a gift. One of my favorite things about her books is that she tackles hard things, but in a way that makes you laugh and cry and keeps you riveted til the end. Another fantastic book!!!

It is flirty, fun, and swoony while also being full of powerfully emotional scenes, strong characters, and an A+ storyline. I laughed, cried, felt my heart swell with love, and giggled like a teenage girl with a crush while reading this the story. Jennifer has a way of emitting emotions through her words in ways I have rarely experienced, and this book delivered in true JP fashion. Charlotte is the definition of a strong, beautiful, and devoted woman. While Drake is the swoony heartthrob with a heart of gold and a past that holds his heart and mind hostage.
