2021/2022 Scholarships for International Students to study Abroad

There are available 2021 Scholarships for international students to study abroad. It is still 2021, and a lot of schools are currently accepting candidates for “2021 scholarships.” To get a scholarship to study abroad in this 2021 is not difficult as you might think. All you need is the right information. If you read this article to the end, you will see lists of scholarships for 2021 that you can apply for.

There are a lot of ongoing scholarships for 2021 available for international students, to study in the USA, Europe, Asia and Africa.

1. Gates Cambridge Scholarships for International Students

Scholarship Description:

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are one of the most reputable and sort-after international scholarships in the world. The Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the United Kingdom, to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any available program at the University of Cambridge.

Citizens of any country outside the United Kingdom
Candidates applying to pursue one of the following full-time residential courses of study: PhD, MSc or MLitt, or a one-year postgraduate course.

PhD, MSc or MLitt, or a one-year postgraduate course in any subject offered at the University.

Scholarship Value

About 80 scholarships are awarded each year.

The 2021 Scholarships for International Students to study Abroad courtesy of The Gates Cambridge Scholarships, covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge including tuition fees, maintenance allowance, travel costs, visa, etc. It also provides additional, discretionary funding such as academic development funding, family allowance, fieldwork, etc. Learn more about the value of this scholarship.

How to Apply

Application is done online like every other scholarship.

Applicants must submit their application for admission and funding via the University’s Graduate Application Portal. To be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, each applicant must complete the section to apply for admission to a course and a College place and the Gates Cambridge part of the funding section.

2. British Chevening Scholarships in UK for International Students

Scholarship description

The British Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship program, that is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations. The scholarship program offers awards to outstanding scholars from around the world to study for a master’s degree courses in any subject at any university in the United kingdom.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:

•  Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.

•  Willing to return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended

• Must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate program at a UK university by the time you submit your application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree in the UK but may be different depending on your course and university choice.

• Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.

• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 15 July 2022.

Level of study/Field of study

Full-time taught Masters Degree Program in any subject. Applicants can use the course finder to find eligible master’s degrees at every university across the UK.

Scholarship value

Around 1,500 scholarships globally will be offered

This Scholarship covers university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, an economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants and allowances to cover essential expenditure.

How to apply

Applications who are applying for the 2021 Scholarships for International Students to study Abroad in the British Chevening Scholarships program in UK, must submit their application online using the Chevening online application system, available through the ‘apply’ button on your country’s page on the official scholarship website of the British Chevening scholarships program.

3. Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University

Scholarship description

The scholarship program will give the world’s best and brightest students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing, which is one of China’s most infamous universities. the program is designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders.

Eligibility

Undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent.
Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study;
Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.

Language requirement

Applicants must demonstrate strong English language skills, as all teaching will be conducted in English. If the applicant’s native language is not English, official English proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application. Acceptable test options are:

• • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT). Minimum score 600.
• • Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). Minimum score 100.
• •International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Minimum score 7.

This requirement is waived for applicants who graduated from an undergraduate institution where the primary language of instruction was English for at least two years of the applicant’s academic program.  The requirement will also be waived for applicants who have studied in English for two or more years at a Master’s degree level or higher.

Scholarship value

Up to 200 students – about 45% of the first class will come from the United States, 20% from China, and 35% from the rest of the world. The extraordinary students selected to become Schwarzman Scholars will receive a comprehensive scholarship that will include tuition and fees, room and board, travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year, an in-country study tour, required course books and supplies, health insurance, and a personal stipend.

Applicants holding a passport from any other country, can apply online from 14 April to 21 September 2021.
Applicants who hold passports from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao can apply online from 1 January to 31 May 2021 through the China application portal.
