How to get a scholarship in any university of your choice in any country
The fact remains that, any organization that offers scholarship, has a website, it is on this website that every information you need to know about the scholarship is provided. Any other platform giving you same information must have copied it from the original source, the source being the very website of the organization or institution or foundation that provides the scholarship.
In as much as some faculties and departments in most academic institutions also offer scholarships and tuition waver, most of them make sure that every scholarship opportunity that could be available to their students, or potential students are made available to them on the faculty websites or department websites. Most highly valuable scholarship opportunities in the world are offered by many governmental and non-governmental institutions, foundations and organizations, which I will list later in the article.
Now, take for instance, if you visit a website that provides scholarship information and application link. When you click the link, you will be taken to the main website of the scholarship provider, which could be a school or an organization. It is now on this main website that you can apply for the scholarship. And it is on this very website that you will get every fact about the very scholarship you are apply for.
The question here is, why didn’t you access the website directly?
The answer is because you never knew about the website; and this is where the third-party websites play their roles. They help you do the work of fishing out these scholarships from the websites that offer them, thereby making the process easy.
However, here is the challenge; most times, the scholarships a website provides you information may not appeal to you. Maybe the scholarship is partial scholarship, which may not be what you want; maybe the program of study is not the program you are doing, maybe the countries eligible do not include your country, etc. this might make you loose hope of getting a scholarship.
There is a simple solution to this challenge. To get a scholarship in any school of your choice in any country of the world that offers scholarship, here is what you will do.
Step 1: Decide on the country you would like to study
Step 2: Decide on the institution you want to study in that country
Step 3: Visit the website of the institution you want to study in. A simple google search will help.
Step 4: Navigate to the page of the department or faculty of your study on the institution’s website.
Step 5: Navigate to the fees and tuition page. Once you are on this page, you look around for the scholarship button. On some websites, you will be able to search for pages. Search for scholarships. Once you’ve seen the scholarship button click on it. It is on this page that you will see everything about getting a scholarship to study in that department or faculty in that very institution.
It is on this page that you will see scholarship programs offered by the faculty or department and scholarships offered by external bodies like organizations, institutions and foundations.
This is as easy as anything easy you know. Instead of waiting on a third-party website to provide you with information you eventually may not need, it is better you directly sort things out for yourself.
However, in situations where you did not find satisfying information about scholarship opportunities on the website of the school you want to study, what you will do is you search for the contact email or phone number of the bursary of that department. Send them a mail, or give them a call and inquire about possible scholarship opportunities one can get to study in their department or faculty, if they have such information, they will be glad to share them with you.
By following this step, you will obtain first hand information on how to get scholarship to study abroad in any school of your choice, in any program of your choice, and in any institution anywhere in the world.
Searching for scholarship on the institution’s website
To demonstrate my point, let us take a case study.
Say, here is my study plan:
Country of choice: Germany
Institution: Friedrich Schiller University Jena
Program: Photonics
Firstly, I will use google to search for the university website, I will type in Friedrich schiller university Jena.
Once I’m on the school’s website, I will search for the program I want to enroll in, which is photonics. Then I will search for scholarships, this will bring for me all scholarships available for the program I want to enroll in. However, if the scholarship programs I saw are not appealing to me, I can contact the bursary department and inquire on other available scholarship opportunities. This way, I’m already connecting with the school and building friendship with the staff and management of the school.
So, this is how to get a scholarship to study in any institution of your choice in any country of the world, and in any institution that offers scholarship. This way, you will be in charge of what you want, and you will eventually get it.
