This story was well crafted and fast paced.
I held off from the fifth star because I find it a little too over the top that a whole town would be so dead set against two people for being the children of a criminal, to the extent of running them out of town, and the cops want to arrest Artemis for just existing in their town 15 years later. Also the final reveal of the villain is a character who has barely been mentioned and not introduced to the reader. He therefore has no real character until Artemis says ‘I know who did it’ 15 minutes before the end of the book. On the other hand I felt that he should have survived to stand trial so that it would have been publicly shown that he was the killer.
