About Robert Galbraith Author of The Ink Black Heart Pdf Book

Robert Galbraith
Robert Galbraith

Robert Galbraith Author Of The Ink Black Heart is a pseudonym of J.K. Rowling, bestselling author of the Harry Potter series and The Casual Vacancy, a novel for adults. After Harry Potter, the author chose crime fiction for her next books, a genre she has always loved as a reader. She wanted to write a contemporary whodunit, with a credible back story.

J.K. Rowling’s original intention for writing as Robert Galbraith was for the books to be judged on their own merit, and to establish Galbraith as a well-regarded name in crime in its own right. Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series is classic contemporary crime fiction from a master story-teller, rich in plot, characterisation and detail. Galbraith’s debut into crime fiction garnered acclaim amongst critics and crime fans alike. The first three novels The Cuckoo’s Calling (2013), The Silkworm (2014) and Career of Evil (2015) all topped the national and international bestseller lists and have been adapted for television, produced by Brontë Film and Television. The fourth in the series, Lethal White (2018), is out now.

Now Robert Galbraith’s true identity is widely known, J.K. Rowling continues to write the crime series under the Galbraith pseudonym to keep the distinction from her other writing and so people will know what to expect from a Cormoran Strike novel. You can connect with her below.

I truly love that Rowling, as she becomes more comfortable with her characters, delves deeply into all aspects of their world; which out of necessity means longer novels showing her readers exactly how much love she has for these creations, and we’re all the better for it. Robin and Strike do this intricate dance, they are partners in the truest fashion, but because of the fears they have concerning their pasts they fumble through their relationship and lie to themselves about their feelings. It’s heartbreaking to witness but we are desperately praying they can finally move past their emotional confusion and see what is so painfully obvious to everyone but the world class detectives. The main case their detective agency is involved in this time is deceptively complex, using the anonymity of the internet to torment a woman renoun for her creativity, a subject the author knows all too well, sadly. It results in a vicious murder which involves the team in the investigation. Because of their notoriety, they have a full investigative plate but this case is personal because the victim originally came to the agency for Robin’s assistance, which she had to decline due to not having enough manpower to supply. The case is complicated by online secrecy along with an alt-right terrorist group and the fact that everyone they’re looking at constantly lies to the detective team. I will have to admit that the suspect I figured for the killer wasn’t correct but I can be forgiven for getting lost in the labyrinth of this wonderful book. I do enjoy that these novels continue to get longer with each new edition, but they are easy to read and the plots although complex, are effortlessly navigated. It allows me to spend quality time with characters I’ve come to feel are dear friends, and it’s time well spent. I’m hoping Galbraith continues to write these tales for the next fifty years or so, because I relish the prospect of savoring this relationship between Robin and Strike along with delighting in matching wits with the intrepid duo. Now comes the hardest part of reading this series, waiting for a new book to come out, luckily for all of us fans, the author makes it worthwhile. If you haven’t read the previous books, shame on you, and for goodness sakes, get off your arse and get them now; it’ll be worth it I promise.

I see that within hours of this book being released that there were already reviews on this site, and of course that these people could not have read the book, because it is too long to get through it that quickly. On top of that I can see that due to some people not knowing how to use their Kindle e-readers so misleading information has been spread. I have just read this on my Paperwhite with absolutely no problems, and I have the print set at the minimum size. If you do have problems though you can use the zoom facility to increase the size on the pages where there are in-game chats with both the main chat and personal chats going on. If you have problems where there is just one type of chat, then just enlarge the print size of the book. Hardly rocket science, and something that a little child can understand and do, but apparently some supposedly fully literate adults cannot.

Anyway, the prologue opens here in the latter part of 2014 where we catch up on the relationship between Strike and Robin, and how the agency is faring. We then find ourselves in 2015 with the main story. The agency is certainly busy and with being asked to find someone behind an on-line game and Strike’s ex asking for assistance, so things are only to get busier. The main tale revolves around what started as an on-line animated series, which since then has been picked up by a certain well known streaming company and is soon to be made into a film. There is also a game made from the cartoon which is independent and a spin-off for fans. With one of the originators of the cartoon murdered, so the other barely manages to survive from the same attack. Due to this we are led into an on-line world where we see trolls, far right groups and others operating, which spill over into the real world.

Picking 2015 as the year of this tale means that we are reminded of the Charlie Hebdo attack, and we can also see with this story how what has happened with J K Rowling being abused on-line being incorporated. The author thus does know what to write about here, having experienced hate attacks herself. With people being killed and hate being stirred up on-line, who could be behind it all? On top of this a far-right group has become involved meaning that acts of terrorism are starting. And with other elements from the on-line world, such as underage sex and manipulation so this book certainly feeds into current concerns.

Well enough written with a plot that will keep you gripped, and lots of twists and turns, one thing is for sure, and that is Cormoran and Robin are in serious danger. As the tale winds to its conclusion so we see the state of play once again between the two main characters, and their relationship. In all then a worthy book to the series.
