My Opinion:
“Maybe Someday” is about twenty-two year-old Sydney, who has just been cheated by her boyfriend and her best friend, not just since yesterday. Now she’s standing there and has to look where she’s going. She is recorded by her neighbor Ridge who always sees her playing guitar in the evening. The last thing she wants is to fall in love, but what happens if…
Sydney is 22 and her life suddenly becomes completely different. In need, her neighbor Ridge arrives and helps her. She loves music and together with Ridge she helps him write lyrics for his band. You can feel that the chemistry is great between them. Unfortunately, she still has to deal with her ex who wants to talk to her.
Ridge is a musician and is a band. He has his peculiarities and the more I was in the book I couldn’t miss him anymore. He too doesn’t have it easy in life and has to live with a handicap:
Colleen Hover’s writing style won me again and I just flown through the book like that. It is told in alternation by her and Ridge and so you can get to know more and more both characters and their feelings and thoughts. Also the backgrounds with which the author has equipped her characters fascinated me again and it was just great to see how Ridge deals with it and tries to create everything.
The tension and action hit me on the balcony at the first meeting of Sydney and Ridge. Both have very different lives and yet they connect something, the love of music. Especially the music lyrics and the dialogues between her and Ridge have drawn me more and more into this book. She helps Ridge write his blockade because of the song and thus the band he is in. By the way, she still lives in the free room of his WG. The longer both get to know each other, the more you notice that the chemistry builds up between you. But Ridge has a girlfriend and Sydney just got her separation from her boyfriend who cheated on her. What will happen if both can’t escape the attraction? Is there a chance for both?
The cover is again a dream and I find the beautiful colors already radiate a lot and the lettering fits like a fist on the eye. It radiates so much and I’m looking forward to the next cover.
I was particularly concerned with the end and I could hardly break away from both of them. It rounded off the book perfectly and makes you feel like a new book by the author again.
Conclusion:
Maybe Someday Colleen Hover again creates a captivating Young Adult book that took me from the beginning. The great lyrics and the entire storyline promise great reading hours and make you want to immerse yourself in a book of the author.

This is the first book from the author I read and on the tip of a read-only person as I am. I admit it, I’m addicted. Addicted to books. And woow I don’t know how I could ever overlook the author’s books?
I really read the book in one day, because I needed to know how the story of Ridge and Sydney evolves. I had to finish reading this. Fearing it could be a cliffhanger who would force me to read the second part. But the first part luckily does not stop with a cliffhanger 😱
The story is so touching that I myself sometimes obeyed my heartbeat just to listen to whether I hear my heart break. That was such an incredible sad and beautiful story. I would like to lie down in the corner and cry for a round. And then I want to get up again, hop around and look forward to the development.
Anyone who is not yet a fan of the author or does not know her books yet should be sure to read that. A clear reading recommendation.

As usual, Colleen Hoover got me into her vortex of words.
She often doesn’t catch me with the blurb, but because I know how good her books are, I buy them again and again.
This book goes so deep into my heart that I really had tears in my eyes every few pages. With emotion or joy or grief – everything is included.
The story is a bit lengthy in some places, but that didn’t bother me. I was so in love with everyone and found it very consistent. I was in love when he wanted to feel her sing. I really recommend the book.
