Highly recommended! I wanted a light read to help me get to sleep at night, but this book instead kept me wanting to see what happens next.
There are elements of mystery that I look forward to seeing resolved in the sequel which I’m looking forward to. It is difficult to avoid comparing oneself to Maggie in a love-hate way – the result sometimes feeling as though one is immersed in a lighter version of Kafka. But the ensuing self-examination is all useful. I look forward to seeing where the next book will take Maggie, and will know next time to download it on a holiday, so it won’t matter that I can’t put it down!

This book moves swiftly but it would be nice to have a wee bit more background information about the characters and the resolution of the scandal as it seemed a little too vague for such a major allegation. Still, it moved along well and keeps one reading to see how it resolves. There are some interesting twists and turns and perhaps the sequel will resolve some of the information lacking in the backstory. An enjoyable and lively read.
