One: Start a Master’s Degree Program
Some people consider a master’s degree study the next move after their bachelor’s degree education. A master’s degree education gives you some kind of mastery in a particular field of study you have chosen. It gives you more and relevant knowledge to practice the things you studied. Master’s degree also prepares you for further studies like PhD and Post-Doctorate Degree. Going for a master’s degree is a step in the right direction after a bachelor’s degree to those that can afford it. However, if you made excellent result in your bachelor’s degree study, chances are that you can get a scholarship to pursue your master’s degree study either home or abroad. There are a lot of institutions and organizations that offer master’s degree scholarships. If you like school, then a master’s degree after your bachelor’s degree should be the next move for you.

Two: Start a PhD Program
If you have the intention of venturing into advanced research or working in the academia, then pursuing a PhD is recommended for you after master’s degree. You can as well get the opportunity to get a direct PhD after bachelor’s degree without having a prior master’s degree. Some universities in the United States accept students for PhD programs without master’s degree. To get a PhD position can be challenging, you need to find a professor or a group of researchers that will be willing to work with you, then you start the application process, get evaluated and then get accepted. Three: Start a Business (Creating a startup)
Creating your own job can be less simple than you thought or could imagine. Do not forget that a journey of a light years starts with a step. You need to begin somewhere. Beginning somewhere requires a basic knowledge of the business you wish to venture into.
It would not be a bad idea if you start to learn that after graduation, but learning a business and entrepreneurial skill while in school has a greater advantage because it will give you the opportunity to apply directly what you are currently learning in school.
Therefore, while still in school, do not just fold your hands and answer a student; enroll into entrepreneurial and skills acquisition programs, get skilled-up, it will help you after your bachelor’s or master’s degree study.
Sometimes the skills start paying off even before graduation, I am speaking from experience, it was in my second year as a physics student that I learned a skill on electronic circuit design, and with this skill I made money by assisting other students with projects and tutorials. After graduation, I am still making a living with my skills, I have a tech startup.
Once you have decided to start your own business after your bachelor or master’s degree, take your time to do a thorough analysis of the business you would want to venture into, right a comprehensive business plan and shoot your shot. Sometimes, you may have to partner with a friend, maybe your classmates who has same passion as you do. just do everything you can to start. It might be difficult, put if you put in the effort and wait, with time the effort will pay off.
Four: Get a job
If you do not have what it takes to start your own business and if you do not have the passion to go further in your education to acquire either a master’s degree or PhD, then go get a job. Start somewhere. Even if the pay if insignificant relative to what you think you are worth, just take it and start, get that industrial experience. After working for some time, you can then decide to either keeping working for others or to start working for yourself, or to get a master’s or PhD. Working after graduation is a very important stage of life some people neglect; it teaches you what it’s like to manage a business and deal with the trouble of managing a business. Start with working for others, and who knows, others may start working for you tomorrow.
