In the previous article of our daily bible nuggets, we discussed the “How to be more Decisive in Life”. We saw from the bible passage we read in the book of Exodus, that Pharaoh was a very stubborn and indecisive fellow. He couldn’t stay with a single decision. He was so unstable like water in making decisions. In one moment, he told Moses he has accepted to free the Israelites, afterwards, he decides not to do so. This, as we read in the book of Exodus, happened repeatedly.
We learnt how destructive such attitude can be, and why every child of God should learn how to be more decisive in life. We also provided steps and tips to be more decisive in life. If you have not read the article, endeavor to do so.

In today’s episode, we will discuss the bible nugget titled, “Know your personality strengths and weaknesses.“
Bible Study Passage
In the book of Exodus chapter 8 verse 16 and 17, God told Aaron to stretch out his staff and strike the dust of the ground, so that throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats. Aaron did so, and gnats came on the people and animals. All the dust throughout the land of Egypt became gnats. However, verse 18 of same chapter says; but when the magicians tried to produce gnats by their secret arts, they could not.
It was at this point, the magicians of Egypt realized how limited they are, and how mighty and powerful God is. They told Pharaoh saying; this is the finger of God. Exodus 8: 19.
Know your Personality Strengths and Weaknesses
The magicians of Egypt in their action, have a tremendous lesson for all of us; and that is; “always know your limits life.“
Know your strengths, and know your weaknesses. Know when you are approaching the red line, and know when you are already on the red line, because moving a step further can be catastrophic.

We have to apply this insight to everything we do in life. When you drink, you should know your limit. When you eat, you should know your limit. when you spend, you should know your limit. When you talk, you should know your limit; the list goes on and on.
Socrates says; Man, know thyself; because an unexamined life is not worth living.
In economics, there is the SWOT analysis, the S in SWOT means strengths and the W means weaknesses. To succeed in business, you need to Know your personality strengths and weaknesses. Same thing is applicable to every facet of life.

To be successful in anything you do, you need to your strengths and weaknesses. You need to know when to stop and when to start. You need to know when to say yes, and when to say no.
Knowing your personality strengths and weaknesses in life gives you confidence in anything you do, because you know you have the required energy to take on the task you have accepted to do. If you know your limits, you will rarely disappoint people; because, you will not promise more than you can deliver.
Knowing your limits will go a long way in making your life stress-free and joyful.
Pharaoh’s servants might not be saints, but we can glean vital nuggets of wisdom from their attitude. And this nugget of wisdom is very simple, “know your limits in life.”
May God grant us the discerning spirit to understand ourselves, that we may live a life devoid of regrets. Amen.
