Like Psychosis, the first book in this series of 2, it suffers badly from poor or non-existent proof-editing. It gets very repetitive, and there is too much unnecessary detail(like the painstaking list of every job that needs doing on the house, for example). I think the biggest flaw was the attempt to mix the psychological thriller element with the supernatural one. It wouldn’t have messed up the story if the latter element had been left out completely; certainly the dramatic climax would still have worked Ok. A bit too much bad language even for my liking, and I think I found a minor plot-hole very near the end, but to describe it would possibly count as a spoiler. Suffice to say the a certain character had access to information that had only presented itself that day, and I was surprised that he could know about it.
On the positive side, this was quite a powerful story, if you like reading about psycho-analysis that is.
