Colette Clark presents humor in each of her characters, regardless of how outlandish, greedy,evil or loyal they are. This is a quick paced tale oof good friends, poor relationships and need beginnings. Unfortunately, everything begins with running from a speak easy, getting a ride safely home from a Lee’s than safe gentleman, dinner with daddy-not-so-dearest announcing the death of a close friend. Only to question the act of suicide. I5 is alwaysa pleasure to read the work of a well edited author that gives qualities to her characters that leave the readers wanting more. Thankfully, this is the first book of her series.
