This is general purpose NPN linear switching power transistor, with its PNP complimentary as the TIP125. Its equivalence include TIP121 and TIP122, those also have their PNP complementary as TIP126 ans TIP127 respectively. It is manufactured in planar technology with “base island” layout and monolithic Darlington configuration. it uses TO220 package. The resulting transistor shows exceptional high gain performance coupled with very low saturation voltage.
