My books came very fast and I love the white look – it seems like a nice update to the original covers. I got them as a gift for my daughter but was very disappointed the gift box part was crushed and the plastic was hanging off. The books themselves were okay but honestly – amazon should be able to do better with their packaging. It was placed in a larger box with almost no padding. If they weren’t a gift I would have just kept them. As a gift, I think they should start out intact so I am exchanging them.
I figure people want to know about the packages: as for the actual books – the content is awesome but you probably already know that by now. I read the entire series in 4 days when I was in college and then turned around and immediately read them again. I have probably read them 4 or 5 times since – every couple of years I need to revisit it all. 🙂
Addendum – requested a replacement set and they came faster than expected and in perfect condition (box and all). My daughter was very excited to get these.

The set came on time and there were no delays. The box itself I could tell was a bit dusty and it has some small imperfections. Nothing that you would immediately notice but if you look closely, you can tell it’s there. Eclipse came with a slight dent and the back of the books all had small scratches. Breaking Dawn had a page that looked like someone spilled some pen ink on it, it was dried up though. Overall, there are a number of small imperfections with the box and books but nothing that takes away from the experience of actually reading and holding the books. It still looks good on my shelf and they still came in good condition for the pretty cheap price. I would recommend buying them if you’re okay with settling for a bit so perfect yet still good collection.
