It was a pretty fast-paced read, the first part deals with the rescue of the kids, the second deals with the families after the rescue. It was pretty predictable, which actually doesn’t bother me. I did think there was a little unnecessary drama.
One thing that bugs me about Ms. Steel’s books – at some point in nearly EVERY novel, the main character and her current love interest, after spending “hours” making love, go into the kitchen and cook and eat naked. Really, who does that? They can’t take the time to throw on a little robe? It reminds me of the Sex and the City episode where Charlotte has a problem with Harry sitting naked on her furniture and she doesn’t know how to tell him to STOP! In this particular book, they can’t help themselves and have sex on the kitchen chair. Of course the teenage son walks in – who didn’t see THAT coming?!

I love this story about the family and friends in the small town of Fishtail, Montana. This story , I feel is one of her best. It is about the families and the town support each other during what could be a disaster when a group of children get lost on an outing they have done many times. The characters are great . This is A VERY GOOD READ.
