I have been enjoying reading the books in the series. They are a fast paced read and that’s a nice reprieve from longer novels. I think this is a neat take on a shifter world so it makes the story unique. However I was confused from the first book to the end of this one. Nyx is portrayed as a beautiful curvy girl with long blonde hair with the last name Arcturus in the first book, in the second she has “long black locks”. Atlas last name in the first book is Iridani and in the end of this book it’s Arcturus….like what? I very much enjoy the details of the books I’m reading, so when they abruptly change…it throws of the story. I’m hoping the last name bit was simply just an accident on the authors part because It’s a change that makes no sense.

This book had its up and downs, emotionally. I figured that there was a traitor among them but it really broke my heart when it turned out to her friend. I expected it to be Addison but it wasn’t. Finding out about her heritage didn’t hurt more.
I had hoped that Tobias would come back to his normal self in this book. That sadly didn’t happen. I felt bad for him when she finally told him that she wasn’t interested. That is until later on when he breaks her heart in the worst way. I hope he redeems himself in the next one.
