The Luna Rising series does stand alone, BUT/and there are 2 prequels. The Blood moon wars directly impacts this one, as I assume the other does. If it bothers you to know how things happen ” in the future” — read the series in order. Blood moon wars series should be read before Luna Rising series. I took off a star because I really wish there was a disclaimer telling me the order.

It was slow flowing and difficult to read, I did enjoy the mystery to it. Lots of hate and anger seem to fuel the story, while I understand hate to love stories it seems extra strong in this book. The heroine is a strong character and enjoy her out look into the new world she has been thrust into.
