The start of a series about wolf shifters. It has been a while since I have read anything about shifters or by Anastasia, so it is a welcome respite.
The world building is good and lays the foundation that I hope it will become more compete as the series continues. The characters are solid, but I wish there was more descriptions of them. I am a visual reader, meaning it is like a movie that plays in my mind when I am reading. When the descriptions aren’t in-depth (or complete) it becomes more difficult to get, and stay, into the story.
Contains an immediate attraction between Jace and Emma with themes of insta-love and fated soul mates.
⛔️ There are a few scenes that may be triggers for sensitive readers, these include some adult language, semi-steamy intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping, abduction, fighting, murder / death, sabotage, theft, money laundering, coercion, etc.
There are also a few grammatical errors, but nothing too egregious. These were mainly comprised of incorrect word choice (to vs so), transposed verbiage and missing words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
