About Alice Hoffman And Lisa Hoffman Authors Of Faerie Knitting Pdf Book

This has NEVER happened in my life, and I have quite a knitting library. If I make three patterns from a book, I am lucky, as usually I only make the one I bought the book to get. This? Every single pattern is going to be a treat. Not only for me, but some will be made multiple times as I will be giving them to friends. Want to know what’s in here? An amulet necklace, a capelet, a scarf, a cowl, a shawl, a vest (that is incredibly original), charm bags, glovettes (wrist warmers but fancy), legwarmers, a hat, gloves, a hood, and a lovely blanket – all with stories. I am smitten. The next trip to the yarn store is going to be frightening. I am so glad I took the chance. By the way, I’m a fairy festival fan..and go in costume. These pieces will work anywhere. Patterns are well-written,, and I would say someone who is no longer a beginning beginner, but who has done three scarves and has a support group or mentor can do any pattern here.. Nothing advanced…you don’t even have to think of yourself as intermediate. If you can made a cable and a yarnover, you are ready for this book – you will be an intermediate by the time you make everything. I can’t say enough good things about it.

This is a beautiful written and published book. The binding is gorgeous. It’s one of the prettiest books in my library. The stories are short and not everything is explained for the reader. I haven’t started any of the knitting projects but there is a good variety. I don’t understand the negative reviews but it’s one reason I never wanted to grow old. There is a beautiful pair of double knit gauntlets that are amazing. Leg warmers too pretty to scrunch up, an Afghan, blanket and a few different scarves that are quite long but look beautiful. The photos are all stunning. When I complete a project I may update my review. This book would make a great gift for anyone you know who enjoys knitting and/or Fairytales.

Not really items I’d want to make. I bought this based on the glowing reviews, but I have to be honest, if I’d seen these I’d have skipped it. Either the project is too complex and time consuming ( like the shawl with the basket weave texture or cabled throw) or its nothing I want to make. Leg warmers from delicate yarn to wear on bare legs? Maybe if you’re one of those Hara juka cosplayers. A hood with a cape would be great for a child, or a milk maid costume. I really like the author Alice Hoffman so I ordered this. I was expecting more sophisticated looking patterns that might be worn on Outlander, which could easily transition to a modern girls wardrobe. Most of these feel like costume pieces. Like how would one style the cabled apron? I’m shipping this back, it’s not really for me, but it’s a pretty book.
