Blood Emperor’s Lazy Doctor – “Something bad is approaching, an ominous presence that had been lingering for centuries has finally stirred and our leader, our emperor, isn’t telling us anything! If even the nobles are restless and continuously attempting to gain an audience, then what of us common folk?

What was coming? Why haven’t we been told anything? Do our lives, that we thought the emperor cared for, mean nothing to him anymore? Or… is it so bad that even our lord, our savior can do not but watch and wait for…

Brought back from the dead into what she believed would be a mundane and simple life, Hong Luo will be shocked to find that even in this backwater world her death as Mozen showed signs of irreversible damage. She’d even found evidence of being here before, despite not having any recollection of her visit.

This world and its mysterious, it’s people and its future, what connects them together and why is her old life as Mozen celebrated as a pivotal figure? She doesn’t remember dipping her toes into world peace. It had only been physical wellness she’d dabbled in. What was going on here?

As Hong Luo carves out her new path to the healing arts she will learn along the way that actions have consequences long after they’ve been made. And just as she struggles with her own demons another more cunning and patient demon has stuck himself by her side, refusing to leave.

The great and all powerful, the feared and omnipotent, the cold and heartless Blood Emperor sticks by his lazy doctor’s side, learning how to become human once more.

“Can I ask for one thing, can I be selfish for once?” He whispered, pushing her hair behind her ear. “Can I stay? It’s so cold everywhere else, it’s so warm here. I feel…safe.”

“If you don’t respond, I’ll take it as you agree.” He smiles lightly.

“Ah you’re sleeping,” his finger runs along the bridge of her nose, reluctant to leave its warmth. “So you wouldn’t respond anyways.”

Brief silence ensued. He listens to her steady breathing and the birds chirping in the distance. He looked off to the window then back down.

He then leaned over and off the chair. Leaning onto the bed he tucks himself in and pulls her into his arms.

He comfortably sighs. “I’m sorry, but in my eyes, that is no excuse. Which means, I’m staying…so please don’t push me away…please.”

With her it was so warm…so peaceful. He wished not lose such peace ever again.
