Jack and Isabelle’s story was just good for me. Jack is a 320 year old werewolf who has outlived what he should have. If Werewolves have not bonded with their fated mate by the age of 300 they begin to die. He has now finally found his, but she does not feel the spark that is supposed to tell her he is the one. Jack has his work cut out for him.
Isabelle is the Alpha’s only daughter. She will take over the pack one day. She is a painter who goes by the name of Bella Nolan. Her father is dying of Cancer and she wants to purchase all of her paintings back so that she can show him that she does have talent. She goes to an auction and there she meets her enemy Jack McGrath. The whirlwind begins.
I truly enjoyed the plot. I loved Jack and was saddened by his plight in this story. Isabelle was O.K. I felt the author rushed the ending. Neil never revealed what he knew. To say this book was about the San Francisco Wolf Pack was not truly accurate other than Jack living in San Francisco. The Wolf Pack was barely mentioned.
Since I had reviewed the previous book, I thought this would be about one of the characters from it. That was disappointing. This book is O.K. as a stand alone, but truly not a part of the series.

. I loved this book. This was a really good love story. Some of this story reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. Her family did not like his family. If she married him the families would be at war. Well that is how Isabelle’s father felt. But being the fabulous man that Jack is he bowed out without her knowing so as to not cause problems for the woman he loved. Would they get another chance at a happily ever after? The only way to find out what happens is by reading the book. Our Blog was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
