Werewolf Howls at Home (A Monster’s Guide to Life in a Pandemic) Summary
When a virus arrives in Monstertown, everyone must stay inside. But Werewolf longs to run free and howl under the moonlight with his pack. He’s never been so frustrated or bored. How can a pack animal like him be happy howling at home?
A sometimes silly, largely lyrical story about confinement, social distancing, and the sense of community that can occur even when we aren’t physically together. The Coronavirus/COVID 19 pandemic has changed how we interact, but it can’t keep us apart!
Third book in the series A Monster’s Guide to Life…in a Pandemic.
50% of all profits from the series will support Nonviolent Peaceforce’s efforts around the world. Since 2003, the organization has focused on creating sustainable peace in areas around the world through unarmed, non-violent civilian protection, training, and connection. With the pandemic contributing to increased violence and divisiveness, the organization has started a community project in the USA.
Katie Lee Koz writes under different names. Her work has won awards, such as the IndieBRAG Award, and placed in competitions like the Mslexia Children’s Novel Competition and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Undiscovered Voices.

What a cute book for kids who are going crazy and wanting to go outside during the pandemic. It had a surprise twist that said all we need to know about being alone, together, and staying safe. Loved it.

Werewolf Howls at Home has been formatted to be read in landscape mode (holding your device horizontally), where it takes up the entire screen width wise. Words and pictures display together on the screen like a traditional picture book open to two pages. A lot of self published Kindle authors can’t be bothered to format their work and it displays like a mess with bits of text on one page and an image on a small part of the screen on another, so I always like to take the time to point out when authors care about their reader’s experience and their own work enough to take the time to format it.
