Before you rush to spend your money to buy the book, it will be a good practice to read some of the reviews the book has gotten so far on the goodreads.com see reviews below.

ODOH FAVOUR

It’s really an epic story with a very creative and promising structure and story line

Kirsten Fowler You can read the first 3 chapters for free on Dreame but if you want the rest of it then you’ll have to pay money to Dreame for points and all that. It’s not worth it

A Novel A Night

I read this book an an online reading app called Dreame after a facebook advertisement caught my attention.
I DEVOURED this book. It’s almost 100 chapters on the app and it easily could have been split up into 2 books. The characters are well developed, the story was extremely well thought out and it kept my attention from page one. Yes, it’s riddled with the typical werewolf / supernatural love tropes -but I couldn’t get enough of it. The story is fast paced, attention grabbing and filled with suspense that always kept me guessing.

The ending was ~a little~ rushed and anticlimactic, but there was so much else that the story gave it was a minor flaw for me. My favorite part of the book was that there was actual time committed to developing secondary characters, which doesn’t always happen. It was a good read not only by Dreame reading standards. If there was a way to purchase a print copy of this book I would do so without hesitation.

Jennifer

This book is very interesting but why can’t l download it, why do l need to get my cookies through Money while not extract the cookies through games and data. So without the cookies l can’t finish the novel, I’m not happy at all.

Samantha Church

Found this book through a sponsored ad on Facebook for Dreame. There’s some grammatical errors and typos, that I can look past, but I don’t appreciate that I’ve paid $15 so far and I’m only on chapter 34 out of 100! It’s going to cost almost $30 more to finish the book. While it’s an interesting read, this is not a $45 book. I’ll come up with my own ending, thanks!

Bethanie Melander

I’m not going to say something stupid like lots grammar or spelling errors bc here’s the deal when you are on the reading apps like Dreame or Wattspad there are going to be errors these are authors basically writing for free so there are no editors or beta readers that published authors have!

My issue is that there is just too much going on for one book. I think if it had a more focused plot and maybe had been splits for a second book for another plot it would have been better. There were also too many POVs. Some POVs could like been made to be like bonus chapters at the end of the books.

I read it on an ad from Facebook and actually got through quite a bit of the beginning out of morbid curiosity.

Honestly? I’ve seen worse. It’s really not as terrible as the snippet from Facebook makes it out to be. And believe me, that snippet was atrocious.

Don’t get me wrong, the prose itself is pretty bad and juvenile, lots of bad grammar, bare bone descriptions, goofy names, somewhat nonsensical logic at times, not much explaining of the mechanics of the world, and just generally the way that I would expect a teenager to write. However, when looking past those things and engaging with the story on a more theoretical level, look at it for what it’s trying to be, it’s actually not that bad.

The sequence of events and the character concepts on display here are pretty interesting, and from as far as I got, the author seems to have a reasonably healthy understanding of relationships and sex (though far from perfect, given how often female antagonists are denigrated as sluts and whores), which is really saying something considering the genre this story belongs to.

Paranormal YA romance tends to be riddled with uncomfortable, quasi-rapey depictions of romance, especially with werewolves, lots of objectification and violent possessiveness. I was expecting this story to be more of that, but no, I was pleasantly surprised to see that “mates” are treated as something that involves a lot of tenderness, respect, and consideration. You can even reject a mate and kill the magical “destiny” connection pretty much at will (and once rejected, that magic connection never comes back), and both sides need to accept the match before the full magic goes into effect, which is eons better than typical mate magic bullshit in paranormal/fantasy which is usually used to push characters together against their wills. Wow, consent! Who ever heard of such a thing?! A lot of the interactions between the main character and her love interest were actually pretty sweet, and I was rooting for the main character’s liberation from her (admittedly stereotypical) tragic background. The villains have a degree of sympathy for them while still being duly punished and castigated. The main cast is also generally likable, something also rare in a lot of YA. The main character, Rylee, does have a bit of that tryhard, hothead, cusses-like-a-sailor thing that teenagers think makes a character look tough going on, especially in the beginning, but it’s never directed at anyone undeserving and it doesn’t overstay its welcome. This is, in fact, a strong female character and not just the typical selfish YA psychobitch, she’s just somewhat clumsily handled is all.

What this author lacks is experience (and a good editor), not talent. From what I read, with a fair bit of clean-up, this could actually be a decent book. It does have all those typical teenage wish fulfilment tropes, like having a hot guy fall in love at first sight with you, getting revenge on those who wronged you, finding out you’re a super special powerful snowflake, but like I said, I’ve definitely seen them handled far worse, and they’re not unforgivable sins in it of themselves. It is, at least, wish fulfilment that doesn’t carry the same problematic elements that most of its peers do. I would much rather that teens be reading this particular story than the myriad like it.

This is definitely a story where you should go in with very low expectations, so that you’ll come out pleasantly surprised. I think that this is an author who deserves encouragement and guidance, not blind bashing. With more practice, we could get something really great out of her.

Meghann

I couldn’t put this book down. I found it in a Facebook sponsored post and it caught my attention immediately. Although it could use a really good thorough edit for spelling, grammatical, etc errors – the storyline was there and it was amazing.

So I liked the beginning of this book…rylee seemed badass even with her situation, but as the book continues I hated that the author turned her into an annoying cling on. I wish she would have kept her a badass with a backbone. The author is obviously talented and for the most part I liked the story…it definitely needs editing and some ideas are thrown out randomly, but she’s got skill.

Celia

I liked this. However, I didn’t like the 180 Rylees character did, from being independent, badass. To a whiny, clingy child. Other than that, it was good.

Elizabeth

Absolutely loved it! In all 100 chapters I was never bored. The plot is so in depth with many twists and turns, but I was never confused by it at all. Absolutely loved how it ended.

Sarah

This is, beyond doubt, the worst “book” I have ever read. It reads like a wattpad 2013 fan fiction, with constant unnecessary point of view shifts. I started reading it to kill some time on a Facebook ad, and decided I had to continue since it was so ridiculous. I don’t want to hurt the authors feelings, so if you’re reading this, please don’t get upset, writing is hard (I should know, I work as a journalist!). While I do want to say that not everybody is cut out to be a writer, and not every story is amazing, I do believe that you can improve. Please keep on writing, read some books, get inspiration on how to write! In a few years I’m sure you’ll have grown as a writer, and have gotten better ideas! But for now, please, nobody pays to read this, it’s a waste of time and definitely not worth it.

Karie Rice

This book was complete and utter trash. I definitely can usually enjoy a trash read sometimes, but this book had so many errors, words left out, and why oh why do we need *the exact same scene* from multiple POVs. There are actual stars where “curse” words go and so many random points of view it’s ridiculous. Plus, I see that’s is has over 100 chapters and you have to pay $1.99 every few chapters to purchase coins. I did enjoy the original plot about an Alpha werewolf’s daughter who becomes another packs slave after they killed her entire pack. Rylee was pretty badass at first and the fact that we find out she is a “primordial” wolf which is very rare was interesting. This book needs a good editor and to narrow its focus for sure. Yeah, don’t even bother with this one.

Luna rated it did not like it

The book is exactly like any other book of its genre. There’s so many grammatical errors it’s insane. The author tries to cover it up with excessive use of curse words but you can still tell they’re there. The author is also very hostile to anyone who questions why people should have to pay so much money for a barely proofread story. The author can’t take criticism at all and gets mad at anyone and everyone who criticizes the story. Extremely disappointing story and author.

Rye

Complete trash. Total trainwreck. But it was so bad I kept reading, I’ll give it that. The main character is a bland self-insert, full of inconsistent characterization. None of the characters are anything but one-dimensional stock characters. The writing itself is full of gems such as “It wasn’t even a growl, it was more like a grunt or a burp” and “Enchiladas are made with cheese; it’s called for in the recipe. Look it up on google.” The plot is rife with misogyny. Werewolf women are unnecessarily prefixed as she-wolves and are constantly called “sluts” or “hoes.” Beyond that it reads like a preteen daydream story, nothing of substance happens. Badly needs to be edited. And revised. Or thrown out all together. Disappointing because I like werewolf fiction. Maybe after a few books the author will get better? But the average rating here is a grossly inaccurate calculation of the content of this novel. It’s garbage. I’m reading it (for some reason), but it’s absolute garbage.

Edit: oh and there’s a lot of creepy pedophilic shit in the first few chapters like waiting for the MC to tern 18

Edit edit: I found this the way many raters seem to have, through a targetted ad on facebook. For some reason it was attached to a gif of a girl in a sports jersey jumping into a man’s arms? With the first sentence “My name is Rylee Duquesne, and tomorrow will be my 18th birthday.” So, I was like, what is this bullshit?

Defying Tradition Allisia Wysong

While the storyline was very compelling and drew me in right away I had issues with this book. One it’s not offered anywhere but pay by chapter. Another is grammar and spelling errors that drove me crazy! This book was clearly not edited before released. If it was I would have given 5stars! I liked that the author gave POV to secondary characters as well as main. This brought the story a movie like quality and was nice to see.
