Frenched Melanie Harlow Pdf Summary
When I got dumped by my stupid fiancé a week before the wedding, my plans involved nothing more than ice cream, a blanket fort, and a bonfire of his possessions.
But my friends convinced me that bitter tastes better drowned in Bordeaux, so I came to Paris for a single-moon.
Then I met him. He’s shown me things I’ve never seen before, and I’m not talking about the Louvre.
Is it just the seduction of Paris? Or could this be the real thing?

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Paris love story!!!
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 3, 2015
Frenched…WOW…Is all I have to say! First, thank you to Laurelin Paige for telling me I NEEDED to read this. And to Lauren Blakely for holding my hand. Clearly if THESE ladies are reading Frenched, then it must be great!
This book took me away. Away to Paris. That’s exactly where I was while I read this book. Not on my couch, or at my desk at work, or on the bus, or in my bed next to my handsome husband. Nope. I was in Paris.
Before I get down to the nitty gritty of this beautiful love story, let me talk about Melanie Harlow and her writing. This story was so descriptive; and not in too many words. Just enough. Enough that I was actually falling in love with this city. A city I have never been to, and like every girl would dream of going to. Every girl wants to travel to Paris, and fall in love with some amazing, romantic man, and kiss under the Eiffel tower. And walk the cobble stone streets of Paris hand in hand; drink delicious wine in café’s; visit museums.
All of this happened for Mia Devine. She fell in love with this beautiful, smart, worldly, musically talented man named Lucas____….on her honeymoon.
But let’s back track. Mia was left jilted. Her fiancé left her one week before their wedding day. And Mia was devastated; left with reminders of her beautifully, elaborate wedding she had planned , and of course her honeymoon to Paris and tickets of said honeymoon staring her in the face. screw it…Her friends convinced her, get on the damn plane and see Paris. Okay so she’s alone, and sad, in Paris. No fun…right?? Wrong!!!!
She meets Lucas. He’s a bartender at a cute little place in Paris. Long story short, Lucas convinced Mia to stay in Paris and he will show her this beautiful city; be her tour guide. What harm could be done by this? She’s miserable and devastated; her life changed right under her nose. What happiness could the most romantic city in the world bring her, in the wake of this terrible time in her life?
Well Lucas is the one to change all of this for her. He’s so carefree and carefree; so different than Mia. She’s a list maker, and a planner. Yes she makes a damn list for everything; from what she’s wearing, to why she shouldn’t be going to Paris, to why she should stay in Paris. And her lists are so funny! And Lucas, he teaches psychology at NYU, spends summers in Paris visiting with his mother and brother helping to run his brothers bar. He’s handsome, with long, curly hair, scruffy, sort of unkept in a s*exy way. Nothing like Tucker, her ex fiancé who is rich, wears suits and walks a straight line. Too straight of a line.
Lucas takes her everywhere…museums, restaurants…where he plays guitar and sings to her…on walks…to the Eifel tower…to a cemetery. Yes a cemetery. But trust me if wasn’t what you think. He showed her old monuments, and told her stories. One story in particular, the Love Story and tragedy of Abelard and Heloise, and their Love Letters. OMG!! I FELL IN LOVE…WITH LUCAS, WITH MIA, WITH PARIS. Melanie gives you everything you need to feel like your there with them, walking, talking, smelling, feeling. She’s so descriptive, and at all the right parts.
They talk about everything. And anything. Really get to know each other and they have so much in common. It’s almost too good to be true.
You literally fall in love with Lucas and Mia. I swear I was gitty while I read. And smiled. So many times I smiled because I was just so freaking happy for these two. Mia deserved so much more than the crap from Tucker she was handed. And Lucas, he’s kind, and caring, and patient and romantic in every way possible. You can see that they are making memories together. This wasn’t just any vacation, this was memories. This was feelings. This was more! Kissing in the rain in Paris is MORE!

And then…ITS ON…
THE S*EX…OMG THE S*EX!! It’s amazing, he’s amazing. The way he talks dirty to her when they get down! Yes they get down!!! AND they make love!! And she’s gives great head!! GREAT HEAD! And he goes downstairs…like all the time!! Don’t read these scenes on the bus ladies. Left me squirming!
Best part of their s*exual relationship is, Lucas listens to her body, he only wants to please her.
“Tell me what you like.”
“Oh God.” I wasn’t sure I could talk-my body was spiraling out of control again.
He yanked my hair. “God’s not here.”
“Lucas” I licked my lips and arched my back, my arms stretched over my head. “Yes, yes, yes, like that. I love your cock inside of me. I love the way you fill me and stretch me and pound me. You’re so big and hard and f8*ing perfect.”
These two know their time is limited. But Lucas insists she live in the now. Not in the past, or the future. NOW!!Enjoy their time together. Thing is Mia felt something for Lucas that way beyond a physical connection.
“He was teaching me things about my body and desires I’d never known. He was teaching me about the beauty of living in the moment. He was teaching me not to worry so much about what things looked like, what other people thought, what I thought I should be. I loved who I was when I was with him.
And I loved him.”
Melanie does such a wonderful job convincing her readers that in just a couple of short days, it is very possible to fall head over heals in love with a man you met in Paris; a man you had no intentions on falling for. Because how could you? Could you?
Unfortunately, everybody needs to get back to reality after a long, beautiful and memorable vacation. So what happens to these two? Do they make a go of it? Or do they want different things in life? He lives in NYC, she lives in Detroit.
“I’m not just saying that. Look, I keep telling myself that I shouldn’t be taking advantage of you, that you’re vulnerable and not in any state to make good decisions. But….I can’t stop the way I feel. I want to be with you.”
He was serious. I could see it. Hear it. Feel it.
Oh God, I cried, and cried. Big fat tears running down my face. I couldn’t see the words on the screen of my kindle. Damn tears! These two had me shaking, my heart breaking. Mia’s heart breaking…Lucas’ heart breaking!
5.0 out of 5 stars If you’re into something s*exy, this story is definitely a great choice.

Before my review, I would like to channel the inner Mia in me.
Top 5 things that I love about this book:
1. Lucas (me drooling)
2. The story
3. Steamy hot “s*exy” scenes
5. Lucas (I’m ready haha, when you get what I mean lol)
I’ve been in a quite stressful week, so when I chose to read this book, I didn’t expected a lot. Though, of course, I’ve wished it’ll be great. And woolah! This book is sure that great. Dang! Until now I’m still stoked.
The story started when Mia’s (main female lead) fiancé, Tucker, called the wedding off via text message just one week before the big day. Right then and there, it piqued my attention. I didn’t really plan on finishing this story in just one sitting (though, it was one sitting while working in my part haha), I only wanted to read just one or two chapters, but this story is just pure perfection. I keep on setting aside my kindle so I could focus with my work, but deym! It’s just too good to be ignored. And oops! I’m sorry, I babble again didn’t I? So back with the story, yeah, after sulking, her friends suggested that she should go on with their “supposedly” honeymoon trip at Paris, alone. Besides, it’s been her childhood dream to go to that romantic place. And in that magical country, she met Lucas, and those magical “s*exy” scene came to life. My oh my, I can’t help but giggle.
I’ve been acting like a complete lunatic while reading this story. I can’t help but giggle, squeal, and shout but in silence while reading this book. Why in silence? Well, let’s just say that it’s crazy reading an exciting book when there’s an audience, can you feel me haha?
This story is really PERFECT. Why did I boldly say that? It isn’t because of the abundant “s*exy” scenes (though I would ALSO boldly say that it was perfectly written, omg! those “s*exy” scenes with Lucas keep circling on my mind haha), but because I love how this story is weaved. I love that there’s no drama, no cliché, no unwanted angst, no annoying third parties, and absolutely no boring moments. I would highly agree on what most of readers in goodreads said, that this story is the perfect Adult Romance story evah! And speaking of abundant “s*exy” scenes, I really adore the author for making those scenes so perfect. I mean, I didn’t feel violated or molested at all, I might have even enjoyed it lol. Though, I’m still not recommending it to young readers *wink.
This feeling of happiness towards the story is absolutely the reason why I don’t read book summary before reading a book. Rewarding isn’t it? Also, if I found out that this story is going to be just like Meeting Trouble by Emme Rollins because of the abundance of “s*exy” scenes, I wouldn’t have dared to read it. Believe it or not, I’m not really fond of those kinds of stories, but look at me now, enjoying every bit of it, haha.
And for the characters? I don’t really have any complaints at all. Mia is perfect. Normally, when I like (well, I think I’m inlove? Hehe) the male lead, I feel hatred towards its female lead, but with Mia? Nope. I’m even sure we could be bestriends in real life. Her character is not annoying, I even like her. And did I tell you that Mia can’t live without a list? Yeah, she is! And Lucas in the other hand, my oh my! He’s absolutely every girl’s dream guy. Deym, whenever I read a line about his curly hair, all I could think of is Jon Snow, but unlike Jon Snow, Lucas did sure knows a lot, he even channeled Christian Grey here eh.
With Lucas, “Anything is possible”.
This story only introduced quite few number of characters, so it’s very easy to keep track of them, and I really like that. No overwhelming number of characters, so you’ll absolutely more absorbed with what’s happening between Mia and Lucas. But what I am really looking forward is Lucas’s point of view, oh well, I guess you can’t really have all eh?
“Fall in love completely. Let fate take over.”
I love how everything happened. I thought at first that this story is going to be plain easy, but dang! When I found out more about Lucas and his hesitation about marriage thingy, I’ve just said, yeah! So this story isn’t just about love, but will also give us some thoughts to ponder upon.
“Like I’m in love with you. And I can’t let you get away. And I’m a fool to tell you I’ll never do something when I have no idea what the future holds. I changed my mind. Anything is possible for us.”
Excited? Well, you should be. This story will absolutely blow your mind.
And oh, I’ve found out that this story have two more books. I’m still relishing this story, so I guess it’ll be a little while when I decided to finally read the next, *wink
*After reading this story, I still keep on thinking how I went this far. I mean, I’ve been stuck on reading suspense books because that’s my comfort zone (don’t have any complaints with that at all, MHC is such a legend) but now, here I am, I’ve even read Fifty shades of grey. Though if I could choose, I’ll definitely choose this one over the latter. See? It’s really not bad getting out of your comfort zone, actually in my case, it’s been pretty awesome!*
And lastly, I think Lucas Fournier deserve the title as my official fling, haha. To finish off this review, let’s toast for this wonderful story!
