While I love her last line in the latest chapter (Who really needs marriage if you have money?), she seems a bit of dense. Did nobody teach her that in her time, marriage is the ticket to money? It was a popular financial and transactional arrangement.

Ok here what I know so far, in their last life her father took off and ran. Her big sis rose got married to some rich dude and kick the 2 other sisters yo the curb. However despite being the most successful out of the 3, she died because her immense vanity and ego caused by the fact the ml said she not all that. Our mc and the youngest sister had to get jobs to support themselves. The mc work her ass off the hardest so she can send her sis off to school, during that time she gets seduced by this rich guy and ends up sleeping with him. But he actually a total scum bag and had a fiance, then he ditches her and makes her out to be a slut. She loses her job and is killed by a unknown person. So using all this info about the future , she makes herself pretty and meets the ml, gives him a clue on how to inherit the title without killing the competition. Turns out all he has to do is get married but the ml family has a horrible track record with women, so it always ends with the wife or the husband getting murdered. The mc tell him that the marriage doesn’t have to be based on love, but could be a contract marriage instead. She willing to play match maker with her sis rose or any other girl. The duke not interested in any of them. He wants the mc not for romantic reasons but because she says she don’t want love and wants money. He tells her that they get get hitched or the deals off. So they get engaged, her dad gets cut off and her big sis is mad jealous. That’s all I got so far.

I think she ment that if she was as rich as he is, she would not marry anyone – meaning that if she already had the money, marriage would be useless. So it’s more that she does not understand why he would ever marry if not for the will, but she probably has to as it is her only way of obtaining financial stability.

On a different note, the big sis can go die in a fire for all I care, but I hope she finds a way to get the ML to take in the little sis and pay for her education and stuff. Little sis seems sweet and well-meaning (plus she is just a child, she doesn’t deserve any of this).
